Patients Seek Better Results in Nonsurgical Cosmetic Treatments
WALTHAM, Mass., Nov. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Physicians attending the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery in Chicago were invited to a Hot Topics session on the latest advances in plasma skin regeneration. Rosacea Treatment Yields Results
Doctors dont know what causes rosacea, which leaves sufferers faces red, but some dermatologists think they have a treatment for it. Patients are turning to laser treatment, which improves the condition up to 70 percent the first time, though it can leave bruising for nearly a week. That's literally where the blood vessels have exploded, which means they're going to disappear and disappear with not many treatments, dermatologist Kent Aftergut said. .

Why We Should Mourn Yahoo
One guess as to what's the biggest story we'll be reporting right out of the gate. It's not like reporters at other outlets aren't placed in similarly awkward positions. Consider The Wall Street Journal reporting on News Corp. (NWS), CNBC covering General Electric (GE), or BusinessWeek writing about The McGraw-Hill Companies (MHP). But the comparison only illustrates what I consider lamentable about Microsoft's irresistible bid for my new employer. There's plenty not to like about Yahoo's predicament. I agree with those who have said this deal will go through. No, it's not a good thing for Yahoo, the Valley, or the Internet. And no, in the long run it may not do Microsoft much good either. I don't agree with Google's (GOOG) alarmist view that Microsoft will monopolize the Internet, but I am concerned Yahoo won't flourish under its new owner.

This year's Super Bowl featured the classy and successful Lovie Smith and Tony Dungy. Society appears to be making progress. However, it is clear other barriers still exist in sports and society in general. This great country offers freedoms and protections to minorities, ignoramuses and bigots alike. However, the people also have the power to hold you responsible for hateful actions. For those who spew hatred and discontent, please understand you will be judged by the content of your character. Malware's new infection route: photo frames
It wasn't a pretty picture when Rick Sandy plugged in the digital photo frame his wife had given him for Christmas. When he started downloading pictures to the device, his computer froze. He restarted it, and his Norton anti-virus software went blank. Then, the files that controlled his computer disappeared. And Sandy - an information technology expert himself - was shut out of his own machine. "It was the nastiest virus I've ever encountered," said Sandy, who spent 12 hours rebuilding his computer. Sandy's experience was an example of how the continually adapting world of cyberhackers is spreading its tentacles from computers to the electronic devices that plug into them. Malicious software code has turned up on a wide range of popular electronics, from digital photo frames to compact flash cards to MP3 players - even MP3-playing sunglasses - and retailers are scrambling to respond.
